About this release
Foundation Slab is a rinsed-out digital dub ditty inspired by that most fundamental of materials, cast concrete. Originally produced for an anti-seasonal Dunedin compilation (In By Christmas version), it’s been tightened up for dancefloors, sound systems and the airwaves. Inspired by sound system favourites such as Mungo’s Hi Fi or Goth-Trad.
Foundation Slab Redux is a stripped-back ambient minimal meditation on the same themes. Found sound, deep chords, and sub bass dance with space, reverb and percussion. Inspired by digital minimalists like Rhythm & Sound or dub techno stylist Deepchord.
